We have just heard that the legendary Leitrim fiddle player, Ben Lennon has passed away. Ben was a real gentlemen and a wonderful, unpretentious player of the first rank. He was born in Kiltyclogher in 1928, and still resident in Co. Leitrim, a few miles away in Rossinver. His family are well known in the music world, and it was an honour to save met and played with him during ou few years in Lovely Leitrim. R.I.P. Ben, and our thoughts are with his family.
