GUEST,John Leeder Bonny Portmore by Loreena McKennitt (16) RE: Bonny Portmore by Lorena McKennitt 28 Feb 01

By way of background, in an interview George Lyon and I did with Paddy Tutty (published in the Canadian Folk Music Bulletin, vol. 33, no. 2 (June 1999)), Paddy told us that Loreena learned the song from Eileen McGann, Eileen learned it from Paddy, and Paddy got it from a book that she bought while travelling in Ireland.

I'm curious whether anyone learned the song from any other source, and whether anyone else has recorded it (especially having learned it otherwise than from the McKennitt/McGann/Tutty trail).
