Yes, the Chad Mitchell Trio did an excellent job on several Paxton songs. My Paxton favourites are 'When Princes Meet' and 'Jimmy Newman'. Recollecting on Paxton, I recall the unkind description of him by Dave Marsh in the 'Rolling Stone Record Guide' as 'a smugly sanctimonious product of the early sixties folk movement'. He went on to write that Paxton 'quickly declined into sentiment and a kind of ham-handed political sermonising about obvious subjects'. He gave a 1-star rating to 'Rambling Boy. This almost put me off reading Marsh reviews which I considered mostly very fine. --Stewie.
