There is a problem with knowing just how old a piece of kit might be.

In the last 9 months I have purchased a couple of HDD drives from Argos.

On each occasion I have had to return them for refund as they did not work on any platform.

I suspect Argos buy in old stock to keep up the myth of them being cheaper but maintaining quality.

So it looks like buyer beware.
