I am preparing a manuscript on the transmission of folk and folk-type songs and vernacular verse in western Canada, and am trying to find anything written about small local presses – how they ran, staffing, paper supply etc., together with questions of vectors: how does a locally-generated poem in the Kootenays of British Columbia, for example, wind up in a paper five days later in Alaska? Any assistance on these topics would be gratefully received and acknowledged by
