JennieG holiday music on the radio (19) RE: holiday music on the radio 27 Dec 21

During WWII my father was stationed in New Guinea where the locals were, as was said at the time, dusky. Bing Crosby's 'White Christmas' was very popular during that time, so those Ozzie army blokes used to sing "I'm dreaming of a white mistress......" which was considered to be just slightly risqué, back in those far-off days.

How many of you have heard 'I want a ukulele for Christmas', or 'Santa never brings me a banjo'?
