Very reasonable to accept "old age" in the case of your mother, Steve, and in many other cases. But less so in others. If there is reason to suspect an old person has not been given proper medical or physical care it would not be right to accept a cause of death to be "old age".

Easing up restrictions as things get better is right, and in time ending them entirely. But, to abolish entirely the requirement to self isolate when infected, is not appropriate at a time when hundreds of people are still dying everyday. I doubt very much whether that this was done at the recommendation of the medical experts, and see the timing of this as very much Boris playing politics.
