Today’s banjo pickers seem to be either old time clawhammer or Scruggs style bluegrass players. Pete Seeger was an innovator of the five-string banjo and his style is not in vogue. I want to correct that. I am offering ten lessons in the Pete Seeger style mainly for beginners. I’ve known Pete for over sixty years and he was a mentor for me and many others. His approach to folk music helped to spawn the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago and now our School in Atlanta, modeled after the Chicago school. Here’s a dropbox with the ten lessons.
