My generation held that there were two hymns unsuitable for weddings, one being "Fight the Good Fight." The other, now consigned to history, was an advent hymn based on the parable in Matthew 25 of the wise & foolish bridesmaids: "Behold the Bridegroom cometh in the middle of the night..."
