Dave Bulmer introduced me to Seamus and facilitated us being fortunate to invite Seamus to Whitby Folk Week one year.
So we had two somewhat controversial characters (sadly lacking characters of any type these days) with us as part of yet another memorable week.
The accommodation Seamus stayed in were still talking about him years later with great affection and were honoured that such an exceptional musician delighted them with a couple of private listenings during the week.
I found him whimsically attractive as a loveable rogue and of course a superb musician.
Yet another of the people we only managed to get to join us the once leaving fond memories in their wake.
