For others' information if needed (I am outside the U.S.) - I tried my regular youtube downloader (https://en.savefrom.net/1-youtube-video-downloader-4/ ) and it refused to work with this video.

I tried a few others and eventually got it, I think this is the one that worked: https://savemedia.website/v16/ ... you have to enter the youtube URL of the doco which is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VYBnGmXgB1E .

For some reason the version I ended up with (mp4 file) does not play with my regular VLC media player ("Codec not supported:
VLC could not decode the format "vp09" (No description for this codec)") - sound plays but picture does not - but will play fine with Windows Media Player.

Watching the doco now and it seems a very good insight into the times and persons involved, with plenty of original interviews etc. as well as interesting archive footage.
