I think there are likely to be several repeats in this discussion of May songs. My message refers to the two previous messages, posted 24 and 25 May 2023. Henry P. mentioned Whitsun Dance (the ladies go dancing at Whitsun) on 31 March 2021. Henry also mentioned a line in Bogie's Bonnie Belle "Ae Whitsun day at Huntly toun 'twas there I did agree Wi auld Bogieside a fairmer a six-month for tae fee" but I don't see Bogie's Bonnie Belle listed in the index at the beginning of this 7 page thread. I wonder if Bogie's Bonnie Belle is mentioned as a June song, as any Whitsun song might be appropriate in either May or June of a given year. I also don't see the Whaddon Whitsun Song in the index; henry p posted that in a separate message, also on 31 March 2021 I posted re Dh'èirich mi moch madainn Chèitein on 13 Jun 21; I see admin (Geoff) has linked the two messages but left out a letter "i" in the word "dh'èirich".
