Let’s blame him for societies failures
The Captain’s mad, the ship’s sprung a leak
Let’s crack the whip and blame the weak.

What shall we do with the poor and friendless
Don’t you find their whining endless?
I’m not Christ, I can’t cure the lame
Surely they’ve themselves to blame.

What shall we do with homeless losers
The scroungers, those professional users
Sleeping on the streets with a begging bowl
Spent their money on drugs, so they want more dole

What do we do with the rich, for heaven’s sake
We give them all a nice tax break
Look in the papers at their holiday snaps
Give them a title, we need those chaps

How we need their investment inward
We beg to labour in their vineyards
At their feet we cringe and grovel
Let them put us in this spiritual hovel.
