NightWing British Museum-songs sung by Harriett Abrams (16) RE: British Museum-songs sung by Harriett Abrams 06 Nov 23

Harriett Abrams is, in fact, considered a "classical" composer, though she was apparently better known as a performer than a composer.

"Mrs. Hunter" was Anne Hunter (nee Home). "She is remembered mostly for the texts to at least nine of Joseph Haydn's 14 songs in English."

Thanks for the source, Joe. It's good to have the full lyrics. However, it's the dots I'm most interested in.

Hootenany, I posted it here as the only place *I* know of to contact people (musical or not) who *might* have access to the British Museum. I said plainly that it's not about folk music. You didn't need to inform me that it's not, simply to prove that you're better than me.

BB,
NightWing
