I agree that sometimes Catherine's interactions with artists are quite exaggerated, the book reads a bit like fantasy at times, but what's the gain in badmouthing her mother?
I've known a lot of victims of parental abuse and that part of her book actually seems sincere to me.
In any case, being a fan of Dian's album with The Greenbriar Boys and the Bud & Travis discography, to read that book was a very unpleasant experience., wish I never read it.
