I'd agree with you, Black Acorn. I think that here in the US, most of that particular type of racism is gone. But then again, there are times that I wonder. When COVID-19 was rampant, there was a bit of an upsurge of hatred against all Asian people, not only Chinese - but it died down fairly quickly. We decided not to suppress these songs at Mudcat. Although most of us hate them, they are one of the few remaining examples of the "folk process." Joe Offer
