I met Eric for the first time at the inaugural Cornwall Folk Festival in 1973.He was with Jim Bassett and we spent much of the weekend with him.He got me and my singing partner Gill Jones on to the bill after the first night and later wrote a review of us in NME,which I kept and still have.We spent time with him at the Loughborough festival later in the year and he was a generous spirited and warm human being of the best quality.
