The bothy ballads are a localised phenomenon rarely found in other parts of these isles. They are not that numerous anyway unless you count those written by known authors in the 20th century.

And Ord's 'Bothy Ballads' actually comprises songs sung in the bothies, most of which are part of the national corpus anyway, and not specific bothy ballads.
