I have the same basic sentiments as those expressed by Steve above, but have I been brought up short by friends after saying very stupid things; certainly. I am grateful to have such friends.

I've heard more than one performer, including a comedian, remark that it's important to have a venue where you can be bad. Mine is typically Starbucks.
