CHILDLESS CAT LADIES
Music and Lyrics by Tom Paxton and Cathy Fink

[Am]Childless Cat Ladies [Dm]creepin' around
[Am]Nothin' but cats on our [E7]minds
[Am]Cats runnin' 'round with their [Dm]tails in the air
They're [Am]flashin' their [E7]feline [Am]behinds

Childless Cat Ladies, young and old
Cats are our pleasure and joy
They warm up our laps when the weather is cold
And we ___ on tuna and ___

-- CHORUS --
[Dm]Cats can't vote but [Am]we sure can
They need us to do it and [E7]how
We'll [Am]take our cats to the [Dm]polling booth
And we'll [Am]vote with a [E7]mighty mia[Am]ow

Hey diddle diddle, cat and a fiddle
There's a cow and a dish and a spoon
There's a crazy man with tiny hands
And a mind that belongs on the moon

There's a Persian, a Calico, a Maltese, a Manx
All cats are welcome to us
It's cat lovers ___ ___ with thanks
In cat people we put our trust

-- CHORUS --
Cats can't vote but we sure can
They need us to do it and how
We'll take our cats to the polling booth
And we'll vote with a mighty miaow
We'll vote with a mighty miaow
We'll vote with a mighty miaow

Any help with the two lines I can't get?

In the second verse, I'm hearing "we'll sip on tuna and soy". I doubt that's it.

In the fourth verse, I get "It's cat lovers allergies riddled with thanks". Again, I'm fairly sure that'w not right.

BB,
NightWing
(actually a dog lover, but currently a "childless cat guy")
