Fields was a comic genius, on par with the greats of the golden age, the Marxes, L & H, Burns. He is considered to be rather clumsy but if you pay close attention to his physical humor, it has the grace and precision of ballet dancing. He was a skilled juggler before he became a comedian. He was genuinely irritated by Baby Leroy and was known to get the precocious four year old drunk between scenes. You may ask why he hated Philedelphia. It's because "It's the city of brotherly love."
