The election of TRMP and the triumph of the Republican party has put paid to a lot of Democratic tropes. On multiple fronts. It has not changed some persistent misreadings that I think are dangerous: TRMP has personality challenges that make him unreliable as a leader and as a reliable actor. If we ignore those weaknesses they will come back to bite us where and when we're vulnerable. Related to the above, TRMP doesn't so much LIE as BULLSHIT. There is a difference. And the difference needs to be recognized and played as such.
