For many years, I emceed a caroling performance of our parish choir. We used to do maybe 15 nursing homes every Christmas and Fourth of July. Now we're down to two. I kept threatening to do "Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer," but more mature voices kept me back. We're down to two retirement communities now because we're all aging and short of energy. But the temptation still exists.
