Many many years ago I crossed the southern desert on I-10 . I'd done the hottest part in the dark with a water soaked rag over my head, under the motorcycle helmet. I was travelling at regular speed on an efficient, for the time, 57 horsepower engine. As dawn evoked, the dark sponge of funk that marked the petrochemical shade over the LA basin was visible. All I could do was look down at the powerful two cylinder engine and say "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!"
