No buses running in Edinburgh during the red alert phase, which is from 10am to 5pm. Amber alert starts at 6 am. Very calm at the moment (12 midnight) First time ever, one of those siren alerts to all mobile phones, with a message about the impending doom. I didn’t hear mine, as was in another room at the other end of the house when it went off, but others report having been terrified by its loudness!
