Another excellent evening at our local folk club last night, celebrating the bard in song, music and recitations. So, not a formal Burns supper with all the speeches, but a great night of entertainment, ably presented by a very knowledgeable local Burns scholar, with explanatory notes on all the poems /songs chosen by the performers who are mainly club members.

Had already been playing at an afternoon performance elsewhere in Edinburgh city centre,, also of mixed songs and tunes, with a lot of Burns included, so quite a long day!
