D'Addario EJ16 PB 12-53 in 3 packs for decades now. Very consistent and affordable, don't think I've ever gotten a dead one. When they get a little mungy I clean them, in place with a cloth and apply a few drops of Dr. Ducks Ax Wax to them and the fingerboard, it makes the action slick and perks up the strings.
