"Bernard Falk reports from Kinross in Scotland, where the Kinross Music Festival is underway. Bernard isn't here to listen to the ceilidh bands or the pipers though, he's here for the prestigious Kinross International World Diddling Championship - arguably the greatest prize in diddling. This year the event has even greater significance than usual, due to the mooted return of a modern day great, a living legend, the crown prince of the diddle, the Muhammed Ali of mouth-made folk music, the one and only Davie Glen. Davie retired from diddling a few years ago, but the lure of the Kinross World Championships has proved impossible for him to ignore. All of Kinross is on tenterhooks - is Davie still a delightful diddler, or will he go home with diddly-squat? " Clip taken from Nationwide, originally broadcast on BBC One, 2 October, 1974.
