Trump Dynasty? Apparently Homer Simpson was drawn with a "Ivanka 2028" badge in one short scene. Half in jest, half in dread - I posit. There have been precedents - worldwide. Indira Gandhi and even the Italian born widow in the clan, Sandra Gandhi. Parties get desperate after they have run out of popularity. How else did a game show host become president? And don't forget, all those government employees sacked then re-instated. Which ones were re-hired? Would it have been Card Carrying Members? Whiteish ones maybe? My understanding of the electoral system in the US is that a lot of people declare their allegiance in the primaries and "the party" has the list of CCMs? A recipe ripe for corruption IMNSHO.
