What I find mind boggling about that group chat is that of all of the journalists who have a really good grasp of what's going on, and who is in a really good position to post about it, the editor of The Atlantic, a well-respected established journal. And as Helen notes, a couple of years ago The Atlantic linked up with Washington Week In Review, another in the gold standard of American journalism. They might as well have included Rachel Maddow in the chat also, for the thought and commentary that will result. I've been a subscriber for several years and they let you share unlimited number of articles so good analysis can travel fast and widely.
