Not quite the melody I seem to recall Seeger singing. (I can't check the recording; the album was my parents', not mine.) However, it's similar enough that one can easily imagine it crossing over to match Calloway's tune. That would explain both the lack of a chorus here and the fact that the Seeger tune's chorus is not meaningful: It was transferred from Calloway.
