it is vry complicated to say that the song reuben's train and 900 miles are the same song but thay are. the first known recording was by graysone and whitter. it inspired the more well kmown song 500 miles a song first recorded by the journeyen 1960 but not to the tune of the trad folk song that you were talking about. fanks for all your responts from joe.
