the California Historical Society and it's 200 year collection is defunct as of this year with the collection transferred to the Standford University Library .. there is a contact librarian but suspect it take time to get it all accessioned and available. meanwhile here's a fun read https://blog.zarfhome.com/2024/09/she-wants-the-hog-eye-man
