Today I have the whole family here, but on census day there will be just me and Ruth as usual. Now I know I have to fill in the "minimum" for those not here on the day and at uni or working away as is our case, but the buggers don't say where min ends and max starts! I have tried phoning the helpline but it's always busy. I don't know half the details of Ian's work, and even whether I need to! Last time we were all here and just sat round the table and did it!

What do I do with my mum's form? She died last week and it's leering at me from her hall table. Do I have to fill relevant bits in or return it with a covering note?

This Hull, Hell and Halifax thing: wasn't it referring to Hull jail, Hell, and Halifax gibbet/gallows?
