GUEST,Nick and Mally Dow Help: Stolen Caravan please could you help? (7) Stolen Caravan please could you help? 14 May 01

On the 9th of May at 9-50 pm we had our Swift Conquerer Caravan stolen. This was our second home, and we use it in the winter when our mobile home site closes for two months. The van is valued at about £12000-00 and contained Mallys Crown Derby Waterford Crystal leather jackets and a host of personal items. The theft also stops us attending the Horse fairs and buying and selling. This is one way we earn part of our living. Unfortunately it was not insured. The van was stored on our home site, with a hitchlock, under CCTV cameras and with a 24 hr warden on site, we thought it was safe enough! The warden saw nothing, they had no tape in the camera and they broke off the hitchlock and stole it. The police have some idea who is behind it, and the van was probably stolen to order. This is the first time that we have asked for help on the Folk scene and all we ask is that you look in your local Automart for a 1994 550 double axle Swift Conquerer for sale. There are white wheel trims and also extras will include stainles steel Water Jacks. This request is particularly relevant to those readers in Ireland. If you have any news please contact us on- thedows@atchintan.freeserve.co.uk or through B.B.C. Radio Lancashire 01254-262411. Or The crime bureau at Lancaster PC Alan Fenton 01772 410066 quote crime no. BC 721 Thankyou in advance and god bless you. Nick and Mally
