My sweet, quiet husband did something today that I'll never forget. He dressed in his fatigues and left for church early this morning. At the end of the service, down front near the altar there was made a representative of a "field grave". After "Taps" was played, he walked down the aisle before a packed church, carrying combat boots and dog tags. He stood before the grave, laid the boots down, took off his hat and draped it and the dogtags on the cross at the head of the grave. Then he stood back, saluted, and walked back down the aisle. It was a very moving moment. "Taps" was played at his Dad's funeral a month ago (WWII veteran), so it was tough, but an opportunity for him to say "thanks". Sharon
