Thanks everyone for the replies. I'll have to check out all those websites. Yikes! There is a lot of information. I'll look into the specific songs mentioned. Some I'm familiar with but many I've not heard or heard of.
Clinton, I agree with you about balls to the wall being attitude and not tempo. It is amazing how a song can be altered by the beat that's behind it or or by the general arrangement. It's fun thinking about new approaches to the old songs.
Bert, do you have a recording of your songs? A quick look has me curious about Plastic Flower Seeds and Stars and Snowflakes. I'll have to come back for a longer look later. I knew I was reading too fast when reading That's When I Fell in Love, I thought he sat on her hair. I should think that would make a woman cross, too.
