The four Marys that I know are... 1. Mary K.: A farm housewife in rural Massachusetts. 2. Mary R.: A nurse at Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. 3. Mary D.: A New York City police officer from the 112th precinct in Forest Hills, Queens. 4. Mary M.: An assistant principal at Lafayette High School in Brooklyn, New York. I doubt there's a ballad about any of them, but I can attest to the fact that all four are real people. Maybe I will make up a song about them.
