(Formerly known as Max Ebb..an old pseudonym I used before I realized that Max was the name of one of the Mudcat proprietors. So not wanting to confuse things...) I haven't seen any commentary on the sound track from "Oh Brother, Where Art Thou," and would like to hear some opinions. I have mixed feelings myself. Overall, I loved it, except for the hokey rendition of "Man of Constant Sorrow" which seemed to depict country people as doofuses (doofi?). Or was it all too Hollywoodized to rate consideration as folk music? In a similar vein, I refuse to play "Dueling Banjos" on my banjer because that movie portrayed hill folk as such horrible stereotypes
