Ron, My info on the Republican fundraiser was posted today to the FA listserv. It did not mention the specific date. The United Negro College Fund event in Memphis was scheduled for this past weekend. Presumably, it was also "booked" when the NAACP was not in effect. Lyle, According to Phyllis Barney, executive director of the FA, most of the $300,000 covers a guarantee that festival attendees will book a certain number of rooms. Some FA members have suggested attending the conference, but staying elsewhere. What difference would that make if FA is left on the hook for those rooms?
