There's a song (i think its traditional, possibly Lancashire?) that is called something like " The Day We Went to Bangor". [DAYTRIP TO BANGOR] It seems to me to have a woman's viewpoint on generally having a good time. Whenever i hear it i'm reminded of girls from a factory or mill going on a bus (they'd probably say 'coach') outing to the seaside
