As a young folky (26) we organise a lot of these weekends (however thety are in scotland)although you are welcome to join. We usually go away for the weekend to a small hotel or a pub with accomodation close by. I'm not sure if you fancy this as I don't know exactly how young you are. But all the above suggestions are good hostels etc. Forming a society in college is a good idera and probably allows you to get sponsors. In my university years ago we got a VERY VERY large sum of money from Toyota (bless their little hearts) to promote irish music and language. Mj
