Paulco, I don't think 'Galtee Mountain Boy' is supposed to refer to any particular individual but I could be mistaken. Didn't Liam Lynch the leader of the 'Irregulars'(ie, Republicans) in the Civil War come from somewhere around that area? My favourite version of the song is by John Beag O'Flaherty.
