On reading through the 'Craigielee/Waltzing Matilda' thread I came across a passing reference to the Kokoda Trail, the Australian military campaign in New Guinea during the war. I posted a query on the existence of any song about such a significant event for Australia on that thread but, on reflection, since those most likely to be able to provide an answer to my request have probably been there already, I think it better to start a new thread. So, are there any songs dealing with the Kokoda Trail campaign in World War II? I'd appreciate any replies and/or comments on the significance of 'Kokoda' for Australia.
