I'm a bit surprised that nobody mentioned the Maori of NZ. The Anglo-Celtic folk scene might be weak (though I doubt it) but the resurgence of Maori culture is fascinating to observe. They constitute about 17% of the population and have treaty rights as the first owners of the land.
