I guess the real challenge is to tell a political/social joke that is PC and still funny. Jokes are more and less funny according to context, the teller (or crackist?)and the audience. Jewish comedians with a majority Jewish audience can have the audience laugh at life and itself with a joke that would not work in another context. I bate (but gently) Irish friends and sound PC friends with: Why are Irish jokes simple? So that the English can understand them! It generally works but I don't think it would work with English people expecting an 'Irish Joke'
