CRANKY YANKEE Help: Blue Grass (13) RE: Help: Blue Grass 30 Nov 01

For Rick Fielding.

You would.

Did I tell you about the two Bluegrass Festivals I did last Summer? I introduced Maritime Folk music to Hardcore Bluegrass audiences, with the complete approval of the producer, Bill Flagg. They loved the stuff. I jammed all night (of the second day) with a bluegrass group called "Shady Creek" who were in the audience the next day requesting some of the songs we'd fooled oround with the night before. Of course, they were Yankee (New Englanders)Bluegrass fans and not entirely unfamiliar with sailing, and it was a genuine "Tall Ships" sailor who was doing the singing, so they took to the stuff better than we had hoped. Bill said, "Next Summer we'll be producing Bluegrass-Blue Water festivals".

Mary in KY.

I've been to Kentucky, loved the people, but the grass IS green. The Ocean, however, IS BLUE, OFF SHORE,(when the sun is shining.)

regards
Jody
