Oh, God---ain't it the truth?! I read "A Christmas Carol" every year, and I must confess my favourite film version is the George C. Scott one---it just "looks right", to say nothing of the excellent choice of music....the Sussex Carol---'nuff said! Also, talking of video matter that inspires maudlin sentimentality, what about the BBC's "Child's Christmas in Wales" with Denholm Elliot as the grandfather? SOB! God bless us, every one.
