GUEST,Andy Mitchell Lyr Req: Angus Og (Traditional Irish Song) (24) RE: Lyr Req: Angus Og (Traditional Irish Song) 04 Jan 02

Going back to MacTatties ref. to Angus Og in the Scottish Daily Record, I think there was actually a song written about our beloved hero from Drambeg in the Utter Hebrides. It was possible sung by the gaelic singing dentist - Alistair Gillies. The cartoon strip was written by a Glasgow Highlander called Euan MacBain who is sadly no longer with us. Re. Donal Og; There's a superb version of that great song by Dublin man Al O'Donal.
