the list could go on all night, but Phil Ochs's Crucifixion, Ralph McTell's Streets of London, and of Eric Bogle's WWI tunes or Billy Bragg's Picadilly Rambler are sure bets to set me off. Followed closely, of course, by civil war tunes like All Quiet Along The Potomac Tonight or Two Brothers or The First Battalion. All of which take weeks of practise before I can sing them in public without choking up. Just as an aside, am I wandering into the twilight zone here, or is there something weird about the dates on this thread. Most of the postings are dated from March 198. Say what?! Nice thread... some good tho'ts ... ddw
